THE POSITION
The primary responsibility of the VP Account Services is to lead the Account Services team in the strategy and planning of programs and initiatives for the agency’s accounts. As the Account Services leader, the VP Account Services serves as the senior strategist on the Account Services team, providing overall strategic direction and counsel for agency accounts. This role is ultimately responsible for account satisfaction and account execution for all agency accounts.
The VP Account Services works closely with the Business Development lead and Executive team to review existing accounts and manage Account Service groups to account profitability. In addition, they are responsible for creating strategic business solutions that result in growth and development of agency accounts.
Additionally, the VP Account Services works with Account Services team members to establish training and development plans, manage growth opportunities, as well as group/individual utilization(s) and realization(s), annual compensation and performance reviews.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees RFP/opportunity strategy development
- Cultivates relationships with clients at CEO + C-Suite level
- Ensures strategic recommendations are solving business objectives for all clients
- Ensures agency is successful with execution of all client engagements
- Manages agency-wide account satisfaction
- Ensures agency is regularly addressing client issues/concerns
- Manages client profitability across the agency
- Manages agency review of all clients
- Manages agency-wide client revenue goals and projections
- Oversees agency-wide account penetration, upselling and cross-selling
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of the dynamics and workings of the client’s business
- Manages Account Directors and Account Executives
- Manages individual and department utilization(s) and realization(s)
- Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
- Other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS + REQUIREMENTS
- 15+ years Account Services or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
- Marketing agency experience
- Complete knowledge of agency capabilities/offerings
- Skilled at ensuring program/campaign pricing is aligned with industry and financial profitability goals
- Mastery in managing client profitability
- Mastery in leadership of integrated strategy throughout client relationships
- Mastery in developing integrated marketing plans + budgets aligned with client’s business objectives
- Mastery in successful negotiations and conflict resolution
- Skilled in maintaining C-Suite relationships and managing to a win-win relationship
- Proven success in growing new business and client development across the agency
- Experience with weighted forecasting and pipeline reporting
- Experience with account staffing and mapping
- Experience successfully staffing, managing and growing a team
